If importing tons of cocaine is a predicate for criminal charges, the CIA should have been disbanded in the 1980's and its upper echelon imprisoned for decades.

As much as I hate to admit, I am thoroughly convinced that the drug cartels are in the back-pocket of some of our politicians in DC, even those on the state level and local levels as well.
Heck, the cartels are in the back-pockets of some in the military, LEOs, DA's, Border Patrol...
Just send in Delta Force and make these slim-bags 'disappear'.
Take 'em to dark deep places and use 'methods' to have 'em sing like a bird. They start fingering folks, methods, and places and then and only then will they get a cookie.
Start RICO'ing the hell out of 'em, freeze their accounts, seize their assets...
Now you know why the deep-snake state hates DJT.
He is coming after them.
