I’m pretty indifferent about the story and the number.

My comment was more to the liquor salesman, Rebel, and all the legal cases he settles where he thinks the number you put in your complaint has any bearing on the ultimate settlement.

For example, a lot of dicks got hard here when the Sandmann put $250 million in his complaint. A few people who actually do this for a living said that number really doesn’t mean much other than to establish jurisdiction and we were told how dumb we were.

So for Mike Flynn to put $50 million in his complaint and then settle for exactly 2.5% of that number is pretty rich for some of us.

And Rebel is so ignorant to it all that he thinks the 2.5% is some sort of slam dunk

To poverty-brained morons like you but to anyone else that $50M was never a realistic goal. He's a retired GO, his pension is such that he isn't concerned about $1.25M and if it pays off his legal fees then the reversal by the DoJ pretty much vindicates him.
