Doesn't conventional wisdom say bernie should be early frontrunner?

Name recognition, already has infrastructure in place from 2016 run, got 44% of the vote vs hillary. Did well in early caucuses.

Runner up in last primary generally does well if he/she runs in following primary.

The DNC pushed Bernie aside like a red headed step child.

So you think those who supported him and left at the alter will climb back on board?

Yes. The DNC said Bernie can’t run on the Dem ticket this time. Only Dems. They didn’t like it after he beat Hillary and they had to cook the books to get her nominated.

Check out new DNC bylaws.

But Bernie is also "an old white man". How much will that be held against him?

The people on Kamala's FB page are arguing with and making fun of Bernie Sanders supporters in a fashion identical to the GOP candidates jeering at Ron Paul in 2011.

Edited to add I mean Kamala. Not Kamara, my favorite player in the NFL right now. Sorry, Alvin

It would be great if he ran as an independent

He should be the favorite over Kamala.

We should hope he does. That should split the "progressive" votes.
