Wow. My kids have been in school since late August in La. Two cases amongst about 700 kids have occurred. No massive spreading.

I still don't understand how it's basically a foregone conclusion that Cooper wins the governorship, while there is optimism that Trump wins the presidential vote (and Tillis the Senate vote). Is it just because he's an incumbent Governor? Seems strange that most aren't giving Forest a chance, yet think Trump is favored in the state.
Cruz beat Beto by thismuch but Abbot destroyed Lupe in a hilarious fashion in the same election.

But why is that the case for the governor's race, and not the President or Senate races when they are on the same ballot?
NC is a weird state. In 2004, Bush and the DEM Governor won by the same margin, 56-43. In 2012, Romney squeaked it out by around 90K votes but McCrory won by over 500K. Forrest squeaked out the LT Governor’s race by less than 7K. In 2016, Trump/Burr/Forrest all won by at least 170K votes but McCrory lost.

Abbott is more well-liked and does better with suburban women, blacks and hispanics. What’s remarkable is Abbott won by 14 in DEM year. If it were a red year, let alone a neutral year, Abbott wins by around 20.

Not anymore. They have pretty much restored power in the neighboring counties.
