Pretty much the same: moderately conservative. One difference is he had a libertarian distrust of government that I've never really shared, stemming from his days as a communications officer on Westmoreland's staff in Vietnam. He also hated and distrusted the mainstream media, which is a sentiment I do share.

Father is conservative and much more authoritarian then me. I am much more in line with my grandfather and trust the government much less than my father, although he has changed quite a bit in that regard.
