Orange County, and the seats in NY, NJ, and other major NE suburbs are not going back red in an election with Trump on the ticket.

Nor is Alameda County.

Because it’s going to take an epic turnout and or crossover Dems to regain control.
IlThe big worry seems to be far left democrats sitting out. There is no other audience for impeachment.

You think Trump is going to bring white suburban women back into his camp and do you think he will make any progress with the millennial vote?

Republicans will do everything in their power to lose control over the country. They are weak and bow down to their Dem overlords

Once Biden and his PAC’s start banging the RBG/feminism drum they will fall in line. Also I am pretty confident Kamala Harris will be the running mate locking down the black vote as well.

With Trump on the ticket there is going to be massive Dem turnout as well

I disagree. A lot of Bernie-bots will stay home if he doesn't get the nomination. Biden will be the nominee, and he has no charisma to get out the vote. This is going to be a really bad year to be a Dem.

ZERO chance for Repubs retaking the House in 2020. Red State gerrymandering is gradually going away and that will hurt Republican chances. And Dem voters are majorly motivated in crucial places like Ohio, Mich, Wisc, Iowa, AZ, Colorado, and more. I think Dems will pick up 2-4 more seats given the massive number of incumbent Repubs retiring.

I don't think you realize how anarchist the people in Bernieland are. His campaign workers are already threatening to burn shite down if he doesn't get the NOMINATION! Imagine the backlash against the party and ANYONE affiliated with it. 1968 is about to be re-visited.

A majority of those voters were 2016 trump voters that went back to Dem.

Some Bernie folks voted for Trump because the dnc screwed him, and lookie now, looks like cnn the dnc megaphone is screwing Bernie again and once again his supporters are getting pissed. That being said, they were not registered republicans They voted for Trump but never registered as republicans, and therefore they do not count as republican turnout. My statement was about republican turnout. Look at his rallies, they are even bigger and the energy behind Trump. Just read this board, look at the likes and dislikes. Impeachment has fired up the Republicans and the republican turnout will be YUGE!

So the Bernie people are going to “blow it up”, knowing full well they are giving it to Trump and his anti-feminist/environment agenda, because they don’t like the way CNN is treating their guy? This is flawless logic.

They are starting to see the dnc stacked against him again, but you missed my point. My point was that Bernie supporters were never registered republicans and aren't even relevant to my first post.

Turnout is going to be extremely high regardless. Trump is arguably the most controversial American president since Lincoln

I am saying republican turnout will be much higher than democratic turnout. Look at the energy at the rallies compared to the democrat energy last night. That was my second point. Trump hasn't lost support overall. Quite the contrary he has gained. Coming full circle to the thread topic. Will the Trump bump be enough to retake the house? I don't know. 2018 republican turnout should have been better than it was but with Trump on the ballot, I suspect 2020 republican turnout will be at an all time high.

ok we agree to disagree. Young people won't turnout. They always say they will but they never really do. These Dem candidates are just not very exciting to a typical American liberal obsessed with identity politics. Winner will be an old white person, not going to excite minorities. Then there are independents who by in large are disgusted with this impeachment with no crime. Many are liable to vote straight republican because of it.

They turned out in record numbers in 2018. A 78 year old white guy is exciting them right now. I think Kamala Harris, being an Indian/Black American, will get the minority and female vote out

They'll make big gains, Trump will help them a lot. Whether or not it will be enough to take the house back will remain to be seen.

California becoming insanely dark blue cost Republicans a lot of seats, same story with Virginia. Big gerrymandering shite went down in Pennsylvania too.

That's a lot to overcome for the time being.
