So which is it?

Mexico or the importers?

Don’t care. Either the Mexican government is subsidizing Mexican companies…or Mexican companies are paying it.

Tomato Tomahto.

Glad you could learn something today.

So what you’re having trouble reconciling is that it’s not just Mexican companies that are importing from Mexico.

Oops

What “gotcha” are you going for here? Either the Mexican government is covering the tariff or companies exporting from Mexico are paying the tariffs. (Note…imports are when you receive. Exports are when you send).
Oops. You dumb fricking Aggie.

Either way…the wall is being built by monies received from Mexico.

You moron.

I will admit, I was under the impression that you were aware that Mexican tariffs were relevant for all companies, not just Mexican companies.

That was my mistake in assuming you could understand that. Apologies.

You just weren’t aware of the difference between importing and exporting.

If you have some data on Mexico subsidizing American companies that are paying tariffs then that would be great. Thanks

We have collected 100MM in import duties YTD, with near ZERO impact on inflation and consumer prices.

Poor brown people in Cleveland didn’t pay those duties, no matter how bad you want them to.

So STFU about tariffs and let daddy do the job he’s been elected to do.

holy shite. If you cant point to the decrease in revenue or the increase in prices of American companies…what do you think that means? Good Lord…why do you keep digging? You’re making a fool of yourself.

Can you really not wrap your mind around this?

I think that’s great that consumer prices are not being impacted. ZERO seems like a bold claim, but that’s not even the topic.

This thread topic is about collected money from Mexico. (Not from Tariffs in General)

So you would need to provide some data showing how much of $100MM is paid by something other than American companies.

What is the problem now? You don’t think American importers are paying money into the $100 MM?
