See, I disagree with this. We've done an amazing job in the US of assimilating Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Protestants, and Catholics. Even Islam here is somewhat muted.
Do you see a lot of Hindus shooting up gay night clubs, military bases, New Years parties, offices? Nope. They live together, obey the same laws, and respect the same legal systems, and respect the right of other religions to exist (even if their holy texts say otherwise). Those who kill simply for religious reasons in the US are pretty much always Muslim.
Sometimes we get some aggressive Christians who want to make us "pure" again, but we ignore them. You have periods of religious nationalism in other countries, too. It happens in India, but more violently. It happens in Northern Ireland, also more violently. The thing is, periods of religious nationalism are fleeting, outside of Islam.
You know who hasn't done a great job assimilating other cultures? Europe, because they focused on Islamic immigrants who will NEVER be European until their grandchildren become non-believers.
The same is true all over the world. Islam just can't coexist.
If we gave them an entire continent to themselves, they would still export terror and war. I have never seen anything in that religion that would make me believe otherwise.
