Elon left it ambiguous if he had voted GOP once ever in the past
The public narrative of Elon making a "turn" from Democrat to Republican is a better story (and more persuasive for those considering making the turn themselves) than Elon saying "oh yeah I've actually been voting GOP all this time." Trump should be smart enough to see that, very disappointing that he would put Elon on blast during what should be a good moment for right wing politics.

Trump doesn't care about right wing politics. Trump cares about Trump politics. Elon is not bending the knee, Trump only likes those who bend for him. It is what it is.
