I have pretty clearly and unequivocally stated on multiple occasions that I don't like Putin and will never trust him. But this is always where the conversation leads. I point out that both sides are in the wrong, and it somehow paints me as sucking Putin off.

frick these simple minded Marxist around here.
Putin did exactly what the US would do in a similar position.
Is Putin also interested in the natural resources? Of course!
Is he a pseudo commie dictator?
Yes.

It's Americas HORRIBLE foreign policy dealing with Russia for decades that caused this situation.
He isn't interested in taking all of Ukraine.

His personal vendetta against Putin has caused unmerited death and destruction to his country.

He’s a figurehead for the state department and US IC who was installed after they ran their color revolution to secure mineral rights in the region.

If I were the Ukrainians I would be hesitant to give them the opportunity

At this point, what's their options????
If they keep resisting (which they can't do) it just increases Ukraine losses.
Whether you think it's fair or unfair, right or wrong,
The more powerful will win. If Zylenski had his own country and peoples beat interest, he would have already settled peace.
Life ain't fair.
