The science that was showing seizure like activity in the brain of my severely mentally ill family member that was stabilized with medication. Over medicating our populous is a problem but to dismiss the study of mental health, which often times has a biological component, is really ignorant.

I'm in your same ballpark, but I wouldn't say its horrible advice.
It needs to provided better and not just let people think they can go at it solo with just prayer.
Kind of like the Dallas Love Field shooter yesterday. Turns out she was somebody that had major mental issues. Hung on to her Christianity. Was probably left alone with her thoughts and prayers, and if someone is off enough who knows where that can take someone. Ie...she thought she was married to Chris Brown, and arrested before. Not sure if I missed it, but odd there was a big thread on it yesterday. She is black, so not surprised it wasn't bigger national news.

Spiritual warfare and mental health are two different issues. Both are very real, but treating that mental problem with pseudo-spiritual nonsense and without proper mental Heath treatment techniques is a recipe for disaster. I’ve seen it a number of times.
