'The fact' ... 'most likely' ??
Thats funny
The only people I see stuck on hellfire is your team.
The fact is you most likely can't get over your own made-up stereotype.

My longtime girlfriend would not be pleased...

Oh wow, one month of being married and he's saying he's conquered it? Lets come back to this guy in 10 years, and I'd say the chances are that he's relapsed at least once or twice.
I don't understand this sentiment. The guy is living in a lifestyle that he admits is unhealthy and self destructive and tries to get out of it, and some here, mostly out of hatred of Christianity, want him to fail just to have an," I told you so" moment? If the man were getting out of drug abuse, alcoholism, recovering from any other thing that was unhealthy, would you be hoping for him to fail?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not hoping he "fails". I'm hoping he is happy. What I'm hoping is that he isn't denying part of himself out of fear. If he is truly attracted to his new wife and is happy being married to her, great. If he isn't, I hope he rectifies the situation sooner rather than later.

As I typed that, I gave it 50/50 that someone would play off of it

I think he has more to fear from the hatemongers now than he ever did within the gay lifestyle

I'm thinking he may have found a woman who is into strapon sex. Win/Win for both.

People stay out of other harmful behaviors by a motivation of fear. Why is this a bad thing?

It wouldn't be, if I agreed that being gay was a "harmful behavior," which I don't.

Yep, fear of self harm is healthy fear, I think he was talking about his own steriotypical projection of fear of shame from dem evil christian types

So the guy says it was harming his health, but you know better? Aids must be a joyride at your house.

Did you not read the article? If he was sexually attracted to men, I seriously doubt having sex with men would cause stomach wrenching cramps. The far more likely interpretation of his statement is that his fear of eternal damnation (which, for the record, is the fear I was referring to previously) is what caused his physical ailments. Essentially, stress induced. Take god out of the equation and he goes happily on his way.
ETA: Also, are you still working from the false belief that I'm gay?

Just curious if the resident gays can answer this: is it all about the cock, or are men genuinely attractive to gays? Do gays find women attractive, but it just boils down to a taste preference for cock, so they accept some ugly guy over some pretty girl because cock tastes better than pussy to them and pretty girls don't have cock? I've had my chances and turned them all down because I just had no interest in hooking up with a dude so don't pretend to undertand what makes men sexually attractive to other men. I mean, I have to agree with Vol. Men are generally pretty gross creatures.

I think we have a heavy number of gay posters but I don't presume anyone to be gay. If you say you aren't then I have no reason to think you are. I did read the story, and to extrapolate that the cramps were fear induced or guilt induced is something I think you are bringing to the table. I took it to mean it was dick induced, because of the relation of the intestines to the butt hole and any intruders therein, but i'll admit maybe I read it wrong

I've never experienced it myself, but I've never heard from anyone, male or female, that anal sex caused any kind of gastro-intestinal issue. Now, he could be a special case, but guilt cramping strikes me as more likely
My best interpretation would be that he felt religious guilt, so he "turned to god" for answers. If religion wasn't an initial component, turning to a deity for a sex induced stomach ache strikes me as a bit of a non sequitur.

Then there is always that far out possibility that his little friend in the sky contacted him first.
