They started sitting in front of a damn TV set watching cartoons and the brady bunch.

I've thought to myself for years now that one of the earliest mistakes we made as a society was putting TV's in the household. I love movies and there are some great television series as well but TV is such a terrible, terrible thing for the brain. Especially now when so much of television is either mindless "reality" shows or just blatant propaganda.

No. Soy boys came to exist when Karen and helicopter parents wouldn’t allow their child to feel any amount of discomfort, anxiety, or shame.

The crusade against corporal punishment accelerated the process.

Sometimes you just need an arse whipping.

I see them as more pajama boys, but then I know a lot of Asians. They are more like roof Koreans though, but they like soy.

It happened when masculine traits were determined to be bad.

I think the first step was youth soccer and with youth soccer came participation trophies and orange wedges.
Then kids grew up able to hide on a field of 11 players, avoid physical contact and not use their hands,
Before soccer a kid would get a little banged up and the coaches parents would tell them to tough it out. With soccer it became the whole team take a knee while Johnny cries about getting kicked in the shin guard. Even watching the pros you see them over react to getting touched by another player as they roll around crying.
No longer do we celebrate football players finishing a game on a broken leg or tell the baseball player to rub some dirt on it, The reason for this is the acceptance of soccer in the United States.

Dads stopped parenting and moms wouldn’t allow their kid to face any negative aspect of life. We got dozens of select travel sports teams in every town so someone isn’t left out. Many schools did away with awards so kids don’t get their feelings hurt.

And like sea bass says. Soccer. Soccer becoming the most popular youth sport has harmed America.

Look at playgrounds from 50-60 years ago, and compare them to the playgrounds of today.
The discrepancy isn’t a coincidence.

And the next tine you have your kiddos trick or treat around a bunch of truck tailgates in a parking lot, rather than going door to door and meeting their neighbors—who aren’t the psychopaths you’ve convinced yourself they are—point the soy finger at yourself.
