His resume

Donald J. Trump fired his divisive campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, on Monday as he confronts urgent challenges heading into the general election — a strategic shift after months of concerns from party officials and donors about Mr. Lewandowski’s stewardship of the campaign.
No troll here, and I agree that this happening doesn't mean he can't mount a winning campaign. However, for me as a person not all Trump or All Desantis. The Ron supporters calling out threads about Ron's campaign troubles as lies, appear to be deflections at best.
It certainly doesn't help to dispel the narrative his campaign is having problems.

Trump has fired his campaign manager in both campaigns he has run. He has literally never run for President without firing a campaign manager until this run, and we will see if that lasts.
So, neat.
Yes. I made that point a couple of months ago as we were opining on how bad Desantis' campaign was performing. But, he's held on for a loooong time.
Firing a campaign manager in and of itself isn't a problem. But doing it right now, after hanging on for so long, is meaningful.
It's worse than I thought. I think they believe they are in trouble.

He's not winning national polls and is underperforming currently.
Now is the time to change course if its not happening. If you're stagnating or dropping, you have to do something else.
It happened to Trump in 16 and 20, and he made changes. Like Ron is doing.

They’re attempting to dispel the narrative by saying Trump has done this too. It’s still not a good sign. Plus they say Trump is a loser and “lost” one of the elections he did this in. Are they really trying to be “losers” too?

Why would it be significant in August of 2023?
The race doesn't really begin until January dude.
Trump did it FOUR MONTHS before the General Election. 4 months.

But “Trump lost 2020 in a fair election”! How do you reconcile that with Ron firing his campaign manager just like Trump did in 2020? Sounds like a “loser” tactic!

Because Trump has done it, the first time less than 2 months prior to the time we are now, and the other time (when he lost) 4 months before the GE.

its not a good sign as to the current state of things, but it is a good sign that he recognizes the need and its still extremely early.

Trump did it around the same time as we are now in 2016 and won.
When he did it in 2020, it was 4 months before the General Election, and lost.
Reagan fired his campaign manager. Many candidates have done it.

Take a step back and think about your question.
If the race hasn't begun, where's the fire? I can guarantee you Trump made that change he did because he decided he wouldn't win without making that change.
This move may work. But, it's a desperation move.
