The hell it doesn’t. You could pay more to drink tea grown in the US; you don’t. You could voluntarily pay a “tariff” to support a US business but you’d rather virtue signal and not put your money where your mouth is. I bet catfish man doesn’t drink US grown tea either. US tea growers just weren’t lucky enough to get some crony capitalism thrown their way; catfish farms were.
