Democrats are hypocrites on Gas Prices

Elitist Democrats quietly love high gas prices. When they have power, they do whatever they can to raise the price.
The general democrat platform advocates that we move away from fossil fuels and move toward electric.
To accomplish this, they raise taxes in gas, restrict pipelines and otherwise put up hurdles to limit supply. They also give subsidies to electric vehicle programs.
Look at california- gas prices are over $6 per gallon! they hinder the flow of oil with restrictions on pipelines and They try to raise the tax on gas whoever they can.
All of this is done to “save the planet”
Now though, with republicans in power, they complain about high gas prices. Now they care because it hurts the poor. Duh. It hurts the poor when they raise taxes and try to limit supply!
Do they suddenly not want to save the planet?

Nobody makes more money on a gallop of gas than government. If politicians really want the price to drop then stop the excess taxing of energy.

Politicians also get reimbursed for their gas mileage/travel. They don’t care.

Gas prices generally are not controlled by the president. It was always dumb of republicans to try to blame Biden for higher prices when it was just post COVID changes with inflation that caused nearly all of the higher prices.
But now we have a president who started a war that directly raised prices and we are supposed to pretend it wasn't directly his fault? Even more, republicans are pretending it isn't his fault.

They raise the price of oil because it is the only way they can sell “green” energy policies. Oil has to be expensive.
As someone in the oil/gas industry, we always make way more money with a Dem
