They’re at their strongest when people are destitute. See 2008-2009. I don’t buy the hoax thing at all but I certainly think Democrats want to keep shutdowns going for as long as possible.

Trump’s approval rating has been going up because of this. This event creates too much unknown for them going into the fall election.
Not to mention no one wants to lose their job, be confined to their homes, and see the value of their assets significantly deteriorate

Any Democrat who wants to beat Trump had better be parroting the propaganda angle that Trump made this worse, people died because of Trump's incompetence and that Trump will continue to destroy "Our Democracy" until he is in jail - and then hope that C19 hangs around long enough to make the propaganda seem plausible.

Democrat policies require a miserable citizenry. The more misery is spread the better chances their policies can come save the day. Yes, they want this virus to cripple the American way of life so it will ruin Trump and socialism can save the day.
