Let’s use the NFL as a microcosm. Analogy may seem cliche and lazy but the numbers are what they are.
65-70% of NFL is black. If you had to guess, what position(s) are the white players typically playing? No big Fukn mystery here, offensive line and quarterback. Go figure!

My question is whether government failure or character failure (or a combination of both) is why we have the status quo. Athletic ability is not predicated by the government or character.

If you look up actual wealth of black families controlled for inflation, it has significantly increased over the past 40 years.
We can argue that (given the family problems) that it could be better. But Blacks in the US are much better off econmically in recent decades.

the fact is, Jewish people have been persecuted FAR longer than black people; yet they have managed to thrive in every country they are in
also - Asian people and Hispanics have managed to thrive right here in America, despite also being ostracized and persecuted

Jews in America have not had it as badly as blacks in America, historically speaking. Worldwide, Jews only rereached their pre-Holocaust numbers this decade, so no, they have not, mathematically speaking, fared better than blacks.
