What a fricking cuck.

In a sign of the frayed nerves on Capitol Hill on the first day of the government shutdown, a House Democrat forced a vote on whether a Republican’s poster adhered to the chamber’s rules.
Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Ala.) tried to speak on the House floor next to a red poster featuring an old quote from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in 2013 stating that a shutdown is a “politics of idiocy, of confrontation, of paralysis.”
But Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.) interrupted, arguing that the poster is “disparaging to a member of the Senate.”

The presiding officer, Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark.), then inspected the poster and ruled that it abided by House rules.
Perlmutter then tried to appeal the ruling of the chair and demanded a roll call vote. LINK

Once the vote finished, Byrne tried to resume his speech pinning blame on Senate Democrats for the shutdown. But House Democrats kept interrupting him repeatedly.
Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) then alleged that Byrne’s remarks were out of order when he referenced House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) comments earlier in the week describing a House-passed spending bill as “doggy doo.”
House proceedings briefly halted for a few minutes as leaders of both parties huddled near the center of the floor.
Eventually Lewis, a civil rights icon, relented and withdrew his objection.

Dems are children.

Spoiled children who have gotten used to getting their way and are having a tantrum because daddy is not giving in.

No. They've morphed their jobs into grandstanding but I promise you that it's no where to be found in their job descriptions.

Both sides need to call both sides out.

Rs did it in 2013 and Ds bitched.

Ds are doing it in 2018 and Rs are bitching.

WTF is that shite.

Stop with the bullshite and work.

America works...Congress should work.

I saw one Congressman speaking about how Congress will not "kick the can down the road," but tackle the challenging issues immediately. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I can't tell you how many times I've heard a Congressman parrot that line.

Although I somewhat wish they would keep dragging things out. The more time Congress spends grandstanding, the less time they have to interfere with my life.

This shite confirms Dems are at fault for this shutdown and know it.

If the Dems thought the Reps were at fault, then their response to that poster would be, "Exactly!" and reaffirm what it states.

But they aren't. They aren't contradicting it. They aren't agreeing with it. They are throwing hissyfits because it is making them feel shamed as hypocrites.

All the Lefties on this site should read this thread and realize they're fricking retards for suggesting Reps are responsible for this shutdown. Their own Dem representatives aren't even arguing against it on the floor of Congress. They are just pissed about being shamed.

I needed no convincing. The Dems are holding a budget bill hostage with the ultimatum of a non-fiscal piece of policy.

It's not possible for Republicans to be responsible.

You're so dishonest you won't even acknowledge that Dems are crying about being made to feel like hypocrites on the floor of Congress.

They aren't contradicting the accusations, they are crying about their feelings being hurt.

LOL, you must be so proud.

Hahah that’s hilarious and all so funny because it is true. This shite isn’t fooling anyone and it’s going to to be funny to watch the Dems fold like a tent.
