Ordinary Americans are waking up to the fact that millions of their fellow Americans want them dead. I think many are still in the bargaining stage. They want to convince themselves that the things they read from what they thought were "normal" people weren't real, but they were.
Then they see these same people stand up for a guy blatantly lying, and now they are beside themselves grappling with the new reality. Still bargaining.
