Christ was never recorded as washing a sinful persons feet. He washed his disciples feet, and also instructed them to do the same to one another
He also very clearly laid out that this cleansing was the last chance for Judas.
Which once again shows that the washing of the feet reinforced his call to "go, and sin NO MORE"
Judas didnt get it
And that Super Bowl ad didnt get it either. Its meaningless to cleanse someones feet, just for them to loot, abort, hump at the next available opportunity
quote:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
He also very clearly laid out that this cleansing was the last chance for Judas.
quote:
I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
Which once again shows that the washing of the feet reinforced his call to "go, and sin NO MORE"
Judas didnt get it
