Lone Star Armory
@LSArifles

“After we jumped into the water, it was every man for himself . . . As I was going straight toward the beach, I saw Lieutenant Hilscher go down on his knees as a shell exploded. He fell into a hole caused by the explosion. He died there on the beach . . .

We were supposed to wait at the seawall until wire cutters could cut the tremendous web of wire that the Germans had placed on top of it.

During this time, Lieutenant Wise of F company was directing his team behind the seawall, when a bullet hit him in the forehead.

He continued to instruct his men until he sat down and held his head in the palm of his hand before falling over dead.”

Sergeant Warner Hamlett, soldier.
F Company, 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, V Corps 1st US Army.

Operation Taxable:

D-Day saw a lot of examples of precision airmanship but one of the most impressive was 617 Squadron's contribution when, late on the night of June 5/6, they pulled off an extraordinary, and relatively unsung, feat of precision when, by flying in a specific formation in pitch darkness and dropping batches of 'Window' at timed intervals, they gave the impression to German radar that a huge naval fleet was headed for Calais, thus diverting attention from the real invasion fleet 200 miles to the South-West. Illustration for a piece by Dr Alfred Price that was published in Aeroplane Monthly in 2004

Wow, I have read and watched a lot about D Day but never heard of this thanks for sharing. I know we had a large fake Patton Army there but this was news to me.

The left are not Americans. They are fascists happy their political opponents are jailed/silenced. This will not end peacefully. Teach your sons, in a world of dragons, become dragon slayers!

Biden was in Normandy today giving a speech. Thankfully, he held it together enough not to embarrass us.

My paw paw built dem boats before he shipped out to fight himself.

He would talk about building those boats for hours, but never a second about the war.

The Trump trial laid out evidence, ledgers, documents, testimony, timelines, confessions all in a court room with a jury conviction - years of investigation.

Trump cult: its all lies - no proof

Someone makes a joke that Biden pooped himself on twitter

Trump cult - OMG - FACT Biden literally pooped himself, you can kinda see him shift a little here and then he gets up. You don't really see actual poop, but it happened cause its all over social media and that's how 6th grade girls gossip so that's good enough for me. OMG this is soooo funny, old men sh"tting themselves. At a ceremony honoring the people who gave their lives, all i can think about is insulting Joe Biden and making jokes about old people. I have the mentality of a slow child and i think poop is funny - lol. Wait - i am laughing so hard i sh't my own fat arse. That's not funny. Stop laughing.
