It's hard to believe some folks refuse to comprehend this..

If the dude ran outside after the attack and became the attacker then he broke the law.

A lot of us, including myself, are commenting on the stupid CT law, not the specifics of this case.

Making it illegal to defend yourself just takes away a ton of incentive to not commit a crime.

There is no constitutional provision regarding self-defense. Criminal law is nearly all within the purview of the states.
