I was asked if I could create one law, what would it be. I chose the teaching of CRT.

Critical Rush Theory would instruct students on the writings of Neil Peart with an emphasis on forcing them to contemplate those lyrics on a philosophical level.

I suspect the denizens of this board could compose a proper syllabus, my choice of first assignment is obvious in my screen name.

In their prime.

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
"The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light"
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw

83 was first for me. Front row in Jax, then a week latter in Lakeland where we could enjoy the show in a more, ahem, relaxed style.

Now that's a CRT I could get behind. First assignment: Analyze how the lyrics of Bastille Day by Neil Peart compare to the elites of the US government leaders in 2021.

Ooh, there's no bread, let them eat cake
There's no end to what they'll take
Flaunt the fruits of noble birth
Wash the salt into the earth
But they're marching to Bastille day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Free the dungeons of the innocent
Well, the king must kneel to let his kingdom rise
Bloodstained velvet, dirty lace
Naked fear on every face
See them bow their heads to die
As we would bow when they rode by
And they're marching to Bastille day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Sing, o choirs of cacophony
Well, the king has kneeled to let his kingdom rise
Lessons taught but never learned
All around us anger burns
Guide the future by the past
Long ago the mould was cast
For they marched out to Bastille day
La guillotine claimed her bloody prize
Hear the echoes of the centuries
Well, power isn't all that money buys
Wow

TBH, not one of the ones I was expecting, but a worthy assignment.

In a discussion of the role of social media in society, I'd suggest.

The night is black
Without a moon
The air is thick and still
The vigilantes gather on
The lonely torchlit hill
Features distorted in the flickering light
Faces are twisted and grotesque
Silent and stern in the sweltering night
Mob moves like demons possesed
Quiet in conscience, calm in their right
Confident their ways are best
Ooh, ahh
The righteous rise
With burning eyes
Of hatred and ill-will
Madmen fed on fear and lies
To beat and burn and kill
They say there are strangers who threaten us
Our immigrants and infidels
They say there is strangeness, too dangerous
In our theatres and bookstore shelves
Those who know what's best for us
Must rise and save us from ourselves
Quick to judge
Quick to anger
Slow to understand
Ignorance and prejudice
And fear, walk hand in hand
