One of cracker barrel board members is a well known dei expert, and was with Disney tearing them down at one point. It is the board that hired some nut job to run the company, and the board is all in on the changes....basically you have a board full of progressives with a progressive ceo. Thus, all the rainbow bs in the past few years.
For intelligent people, ill never understand how stupid they can be. Shareholders need to take charge here, if it isnt too late already.

Also...i believe that board member they brought on in 2020 was part of that....he is a well known dei influencer, and has been his entire career.
They asked for it. Now they have it. Shareholders should act quickly....in replacing g the board and ceo...but the damage is done to the stock.

The only business rationale is if they figured their customer base was starting to die off, but they aren't being replaced by younger customers. I can see a facelift but still attempting to keep some of the kitch of the original as a desperate effort to get younger people to eat there. It's not necessarily wokeness. Although I'm sure she's woke as hell. I don't think her wokeness drove her or the other executives to make this change. The Bud Light bitch is different, in a totally different category.
You're 100 percent wrong.
Cracker Barrel is an iconic southern Christian staple, and it's being destroyed on purpose. Both my parents saw it as a Mount Rushmore candidate, but near the end of my mom's life, and well after dad died, the woke shite manifested itself with rude and outright hateful "service" in my experience.
The only time I ever encountered the place was at a restaurant with my parents or ordering takeout to take to my parents. I encountered downright evil angry pursed lip fagots filled with hatred, and on the phone trying to make an order, woke little bitches who didn't want to do their job and saying "I don't feel safe right now" because I was insisting they do their job. Literally playing a victim role because a customer was trying to make a fricking breakfast takeout order.

They’ve lost what $500 million already? How the fock hasn’t the board fired her yet???

It really isnt a mystery. Look who they brought in on the board in 2020. A well known dei activist.
This was all planned . The stock is falling not just from the rebrand, but from who and what the board stands for. Investors know this is just the beginning, unless those shareholders react swiftly. I believe it is too late though.

I love it when you try to play Moderate on the OT, it’s cute

It can still be saved. Many, if not most, of their customers are unaware of what's happening behind the scenes. Replace the CEO and board with individuals who will reassure investors and eliminate the politics.

I am left moderate.
I just disagree with all the outrage. I don’t get outraged with Chick-fil-A, Tyson foods, In-N-Out Burger, hobby lobby, and their biblical values.

They really need to change the menu to match the rebrand.
I mean, lets face it, chicken fried steak and warm rolls are out of date and too..."rednecky".
Cold-pressed juices, kale salad, and tofurkey sandwiches on responsibly sourced gluten-free bread purchased from minority owned bakeries are what they need to complete the picture. And a Trans flag. They need a Trans flag.

I haven't seen anyone outraged here. I haven't seen any protests or looted stores on the news. I'm not personally outraged.
I am absolutely confused as to the lack of knowledge corporations have with their own client base. Or their blatant disregard for it. Nostalgia sells. What sources are they referencing that tells them that if only they modernized the Cracker Barrel (a restaurant that peddles in nostalgia), they could increase revenue? It just lacks basic common sense, even to a layperson.
Chick Fil A, Hobby Lobby, etc.. have always been known to have Christian values. They don't work in your example because they aren't pretending to be something they are not. Its more akin to Adam & Eve deciding their stores need more crosses and Live Laugh Love signs.

That said, the rebrand is dumb as frick and, in my opinion, intentional by the board to tank it for good so they can liquidate assets and make a buck.
it's not to "liquidate assets"
it's intentional, so as to destroy an American conservative Christian iconic restaurant

I cannot find the source, but I read somewhere last week that Blackrock and Vanguard are the 2 largest investors. I did find a source that says almost 70% of the stock is owned by institutions.
My guess is those institutional investors support the "woke" agenda.

The stock price has been tanking for years and COVID did a one-two punch to the franchise.
okay I'm seeing through your lying bullshite
it's been tanking since 2021 when the previous white leftist bitch CEO implemented the LBGTQ-WTF rocking chairs
Covid was not a one-two punch. They came straight back to the same caving level stock price after "covid" was over. Covid did not impact Cracker Barrel over any other restaurant.
The second plunge of the stock price was terrible DEI hiring, and now this latest shite.
Stop fricking lying.
