why in the world would anybody want to take that shot. you don't take a shot for a virus that has a 99% survival rate, plus look at all of the people that have died from that damn vaccine

Of course I would take a shot to avoid a 1% chance at death. The covid vaccine NEVER was killing 1%. In the very beginning, when it was a novel virus, it was killing 0.6%.
Also, you need to stop with the fake news that lots of people are dying from the vaccine. That is just not true.

Serious question, what is the survival rate for the flu, that probably over 50% of the population take a yearly shot for?

Covid never came close to a 0.6% death rate.
WHO/CDC/Fauci protocols (mRNA gene therapy included) account for the majority of Covid related deaths. The gene therapy will still be killing people off decades after CV19 is in the books.

I don't know what you consider "lots of people", but cancer deaths for ages 0-54 is up 20% over average for week 18 of 2023. It's been up 16% to 18% over average for quite some time with a sudden rise just after the vaccine rollout.

Our pediatrician only advises that her "extremely obese teens" consider taking it (she had 2 fatasses due from covid). She doesn't mention it otherwise. 2 years ago she was advising for everyone to get it but still left the choice to the parents
My primary care didn't mention it last 2 visits. He lectured me 2 years ago about the ICU patients he saw and how 90% were unvaxxed. He still said (which is why I didn't fire him) he respected my choice to not get it

Seriously though, there are a couple of issues at play with those attitudinal changes.
First, as Penrod alluded, current Covid strains are less virulent than the original.
Second, we have a Democrat in the White House, so jackasses like Catherine O'Neal get scoffed at instead of praised if they put on their medical gloom and doom act. Suddenly, it's okay again to inject logic into scientific dialogue.
