COVID positive. Double-boosted. No symptoms

Today, after consultation with her physicians, the Vice President was prescribed and has taken Paxlovid.

The VP is taking Paxlovid, Pfizer's antiviral pill that can reduce severity and helps prevent hospitalization or death among those at high risk.
EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the emergency use of the unapproved product PAXLOVID for the treatment of mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in adults and pediatric patients (12 years of age and older weighing at least 40 kg) with positive results of direct severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral testing, and who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death.

I understand who this person is, but isn’t this prescribing even outside of the EUA, which is for people with Covid (e.g., symptoms)?

She doesnt have covid...this is there only way to avoid tough questions and have something to fall back on as to why things arent getting done....they are using covid to get out of the spot light for a few weeks

I was considering making a "I told you so" thread on the OT concerning COVID vaccine "approval" because the CDC came out with a public notice summarizing the approval status of all vaccines a couple of weeks ago. At the time of the "approval" I read the FDA letter and made a post on the OT about BioNTech-Pfizer still remaining under emergency use authorization. The vaccine status of BioNTech-Pfizer had not been FDA approved despite almost the entire media and internet saying it was. It was a ploy for the Biden Admin to get the vaccine mandates into place. The only vaccine at the time that received FDA approval was COMIRITY which was not available and still remains not available.
At 4 am the evening after the FDA letter for approval was released I read the FDA letter on my phone and posted it on the OT that BioNTech is still not FDA approved and I got fricking blasted.
BioNTech-Pfizer COVID vaccine is still under EUA.

You want to post that letter again? Because Comirnaty is the BRAND NAME for the Pfizer-BioNTech mrna vaccine which you say isn't approved. Yet it is.......
The EUA only applies to administration to people under the age of 16.

It's likely they test periodically as a precaution simply because of who they are and who they interact with.
