It has but it went warp speed at that point. The professional agitator replaced a lot of military leadership and filled government agencies with like minded people. Some were already there from when Slick Willy was elected and Rino Bush left in place.

Why do you think Obama fricked so hard with the military? Social justice reform programs, firing 200 or so top officers, allowing communists in the military Academies...it gets you the Vindmans so the military is now thinking like Obama and willing to back him

Could our military really be compromised enough to where a coup could be initiated? Being a retired military member, I find this highly unlikely.

That is where it would end. The Democrat party can choose to not accept the results until they’re blue in the face but it wouldn’t make a difference, if the Supreme Court ruled it valid.

I mean we they were 3 votes away from ousting a President because they didn't like him. If the Democrats held the Senate, they would have ousted Trump over purely partisan purposes. Yes, it could realistically happen.
