Connect the dots. Cheney apoplexies, NSD of the FBI, Patriot Act and Trump.

Dick Cheney is the master mind behind the Patriot Act. It was sold to the American people as a way to help the FBI keep American people safe from terrorism after 911. Never mind the fact that Bill Clinton and the FBI had several chances to prevent 911 by taking out OBL...but that's for another thread.
Under the Patriot Act the National Security Division of the FBI is formed. This is the division of the FBI that acquires FISA warrants and is currently under ZERO oversight. Before Donald Trump it was always assumed that the NSD of the FBI would be under the Office of Inspector General oversight but under Eric Holder he commissioned his deputy Sally Yates to write a 57 page letter to the Inspector General explaining why the National Security Division of the FBI is not subject to oversight. With no push back the Inspector General Horwitz said, okay.
Congress could reign in the NSD of the FBI but they don't because they are currently being used as a political tool for the Democrat Party against Trump and Trump supporters and the Democrats control congress. It's possible the NSD of the FBI gets reigned in under new Republican leadership in congress but I doubt it.
But this little cabal of unaccountable bureaucrats has it out for Donald Trump and I still don't clearly see why. The NSD of the FBI is not worried about borders, trade and war like Wall Street and most never Trumpers and I don't believe Trump was ever a threat to dismantle the NSD of the FBI or the Patriot Act.
But the apoplexy in the Cheney family makes me think Donald Trump is a threat to the Cheney family arch accomplishment, the Patriot Act.
Something else in going on in the national security front. There has to be a reason the Cheneys and many in the IC are after Trump. From the Cheneys and the IC perspectives maybe another Trump presidency is a threat to the Patriot Act. (Everyone else against Trump are being led by the nose and are against him for other various reasons).

Trump is a threat to the MIC’s blood money. I suspect that is at the top of the list of the reasons they hate him.

they (Cheney GOP and the media) are raising up Liz for this purpose. There is no other reason to give her this much attention. She just lost an election.
They are also hoping she'll siphon off some "moderate" republicans to vote for dems.
It's all a game.
