Shutting down gyms is silly. They have excellent ventilation and keep people physically (cardio says hi) and MENTALLY (times are tough and its a good outlet) in shape.

I feel bad for the parents in New York that have to go through with this bull shite. Kids need to be in school learning and socializing.
When you take kids out, force them to learn through Zoom (doesn't work for young kids), then a mix, then back to Zoom you are doing major harm to their learning.
I'd get the frick out of New York if I lived there.
Hell, if the schools in the city I live in (no major metro area) I'd hire my kid their own personal teacher to do face-to-face learning.

I have run into parents in my area sending kids across state lines to private school as long as they could guarantee five days a week in person. This was at the start of the school year when the only local choices were hybrid or full virtual.
