Can you blame them though? Their choice is to offshore manufacturing and labor or go out of business. If you owned a business, what would you choose? They sadly don't have the ability to hold the moral high ground.

And don't think this is unique to major companies. Practically every small business uses offshore labor and production for any aspect they can get away with, because the cost is about 25%. Again, you can condemn them but their choice is to do this or go out of business because their competitors will trounce them on price.

The only way to stop it is to make the labor and goods offshore expensive enough to where it makes financial sense to keep it here.

I understand that to your leftist reasoning (and yes, whatever else your opinions are on other issues, this is a classic communist thought process—it's the same reasoning as Kamala's price control proposals), what should happen is that the companies should just absorb the vastly greater cost of labor, sell their product at the same price (or close) and just "make less money."

But it can't happen that way. What's going to happen if more companies bring manufacturing to the US is that prices are going to go up for everyone. So it's actually more responsible for those comanies to do whatever is necessary to keep costs and prices down.

Not only won't it happen the way you think, but nor should it be expected to, nor would you do the same, nor do you already do the same, likely.

What vehicle do you drive? If it's a GMC, Ford, Chevy, or Ram, and not a Honda, Toyota, or Acura, then by your own (simple) definition, you are an economic traitor to the United States. Because although there is no vehicle made entirely in the US, the latter brands are built by more US labor than the former brands.

Are you typing your nonsense in this thread on a premium priced computer like an Apple MacBook Pro or premium model Digital Storm? If not, you are an economic traitor according to your definition for the same reason as if you drive a Ford F-150.

Putting it more simply, if minimizing corporate production costs by purchasing labor from overseas is being an "economic traitor," so is purchasing products made with cheaper labor.

And collectively if we didn't do that, here's a very partial list of the things we'd be paying (significantly) more for:

Oil
Pharmaceuticals
Anything made with plastic (which is almost everything)
Medical equipment
Automobiles
Furniture
Signage
Lighting
Medical equipment/supplies
Machinery, both heavy machinery and tech machinery (like the computers we discussed)
Anything made with rubber
Many fruits, vegetables, wines, and beers
Pretty much anything made with sugar

Define "economic treason" and explain how domestic companies maintain profitability with the higher pay of American workers increasing costs dramatically. Where is the money coming from to pay those high wages?
