Common core prolly didn’t help with homegrown engineers.

There are plenty of people out there with great minds that got ruined by hack learning.
Prior administrations wanted cheap doctors and engineers.
Are we better for it?
Get back to foundational learning that got America to its prior greatness.
It’s amazing to have a total bill of 27.82 at a fast food and you hand the lady 32.82 and she’s frozen stuff on why you handed her that amount.

Yeah right. These pussies think 4 school days per week is the answer.

Are any of those kids in the workforce yet? It's still fairly new, at least in louisiana.

No child left behind really meant holding back the exceptional students.

Aaaaaand the intern that put that graph together forgot that blue means boy and pink (or whatever color that is) means girl.

Yes. Clerk a Pet Smart short changed me. When i questioned her she began drawing circles and squares. She had to call the manager and they used a hand held calculator to correct the situation..

AI put that chart together for me. I have no reason to question the data because it aligns with what I've previously seen but you have identified ChatGPT's internal bias.

20 years ago, that would have been a ridiculous made up story. Sadly, it's now a common occurrence.
George W did long-term damage with his No Child Left Behind policy. Undermined the math skills of an entire generation of Americans.

It's more amazing in 2025 that some dork is carrying exact change to order fast food instead of using an app to have the food waiting for him all while earning rewards and is mad a younger person doesn't understand his outdated practices.
My kids likely won't be the best at giving out change, as there's almost no reason for that to be a skill for them. I bet you struggle using tech the "dumb" employee has no issue with.

I KNEW this was coming.

Meanwhile some twat is upset that common math cannot be done by her kids.
You’re not up on the times either. You can pay with cash while using….the app. Idiot.
Enjoy that.

I have no idea what you're even trying to say here.

Which app? Domino's is the only one I can think of offhand that offers a pay at the store option, but I'm gonna make an assumption that you didn't mean them.
You gonna say you scanned your phone at CFA and then just paid with cash? Doubt that too since you didn't order ahead in that scenario.
I think I'll just go with you being full of shite and trying to save face now. But keep on carrying your coin purse and complaining about kids not keeping up with outdated things. Did you bust out a slide rule to explain the math to the worker?

My wife teaches senior English and kids literally can’t write. They got rid of basic grammar in elementary school. She has to try to squeeze a decade of writing into a year. It’s really really bad.

No. Dominos is not the only one.

Seriously big maaaad since your kids cannot count.
Dumbass.

Education is a train wreck. However, we still don't lack people for these jobs that Elon and the other tech overlords want to farm out to the lowest bidder from overseas rather than hire Americans. There were graphs during the H1B debate that proved this.

My kids can count exceptionally well. And I have no issue understanding how they learned to do it either.

You're projecting, a lot.

I guess I’m Done projecting.
Seriously though, I do apologize for this trigger of using cash. It’s put you in a serious melt.

It most certainly does. Breaking change is a nonessential skill for my children.

Still not addressing any point I've made, hopefully because you've realized how ridiculous this thread of yours is. Or maybe you're still sitting with stack of encyclopedias in your house instead of using a smart phone to look shite up.

You literally said your kids may not be the best at it. I kinda jives.
I do not know what to say to you now.
Eta.
Look what shite up?
