Or are you just going to take a hit piece assertion that before birth means right up to birth?

In Colorado, abortion is legal at all stages of pregnancy. There are no gestational age restrictions on when an abortion can be performed. This means that women in Colorado can access abortion services up to the point of giving birth.

LifeNews.com doesn’t seem like the most reliable source to analyze and report legislation.

What is amazing is that they are using Medicaid which is jointly funded by the fed gov.
Yeah, I would pull all medicaid funding from colorado with a quickness.

My information below is incorrect. Please disregard.
Downvoted myself
It reads that is 22 weeks.
Colorado is one of the few states where a late-term abortion (termination after 22 weeks) can be obtained. Most providers will recommend getting an abortion well before the 20th week, as abortions can become more complicated and more painful the further along the patient is in their pregnancy.
CO Abortion Facts
BTW - I am not for it by any means, just adding for possible accuracy.

Just another one for accuracy
This bill should remove the Federal funding
"Because the bill requires all abortion services to be state-funded, it will shift costs to the General Fund and decrease the use of cash and federal funds. "
"Because the bill requires all abortion services to be state-funded, it will shift costs to the General Fund and decrease the use of cash and federal funds."
For FY 2025-26, the bill requires the following appropriations to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing:
* an increase of $1,476,896 from the General Fund;
* a decrease of $41,650 from the Healthcare Affordability and Sustainability Fee Cash Fund; and
* a decrease of $1,721,497 from federal funds.

However it is medicaid so just "shifting" money around still allows for reimbursement from fed gov into the big pot...

Cut off all funds. Thats ridiculous. They’ll steal continue to steal votes and house illegals anyway so no loss.
Posted on 4/7/25 at 6:45 pm to UncleFestersLegs
I found it. Anytime is correct.
I misunderstood the info (I thought it was 22 weeks based on a later sentence) but AFTER 22 weeks happens to include up to birth.

Where did you go? You asked these really stupid questions and then bailed:
quote:
What does the bill say? Or are you just going to take a hit piece assertion that before birth means right up to birth?
What does the actual bill say?
In case you missed the answer, I'll quote it again for you below.
quote:
The bill doesn't need to specify. Colorado has no limits on when abortion can occur during pregnancy. This bill didn't need to do anything for that to be true.

“This is about making sure that every person, regardless of income or location, can exercise their constitutional right to abortion care,” said Rep. Lorena Garcia, D-Adams County,
I didn’t read that phrase in the Constitution. Could someone point that out to me? Anyone who makes this claim is a dishonest hack.
Is it the killing of a human life? Unquestionably YES.
Now, start from there, you abortionist pricks. If you want to make the case that the mother’s life of freedom from the responsibility of caring for their unborn child is worth more than the life of that child, then go ahead and make it. I’m sure there are points to be made, no matter how unpersuasive they are to me.
But you can’t claim a constitutional right to kill an unborn baby, because it’s not there. It wasn't there before Roe. Roe never claimed that. And it’s not there after Dobbs.
