Pipe broke.
Electricity and gas still on for the moment.
We're melting snow to flush the toilets.
Plumber might make it by the end of the week.

And yet, we're blessed. Lots of people here don't have power, running water, or food.

I've asked everyone I know if they need help or know of anyone who needs help, since the roads aren't too bad if you have 4wd and don't drive like a jagazz.

I've been making yellow snow while the ms is using melted snow to flush, lol.

Record low temps, and I'm sure this will all be due to "Global Warming", lol.

The high today, here in central Texas, is 19. My buddy, living on Cape Cod, said he was getting up to 50 today, lol.

Global Warming is complete BS.

They will come up with some bull shite. 5% of the Earth's Cold temps just happens to be in the middle of the U.S. ...the other 95% much warmer on the planet.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember Michael Mann and the "Hide the Decline" song on YouTube.

I don’t mind the weather at all; it’s the 24+ consecutive hours without electricity/heat I can do without.
I’m way over that.

I don’t believe climate change is BS, I just don’t agree that it’s anthropogenic in nature.

Stay safe!

saw a time article blaming it on “climate change”

There is always a bullshite explanation, great racket though, any change in weather pushes an agenda

Oh, definitely climate change happens. But man's influence on it is negligible. The Earth - demonstrably so - has been MUCH warmer in the past and life moved on. Much of Texas was under a shallow salt water sea millions of years before SUVs "destroyed the planet".

Funny you say that. I thought he was talking about introducing yet another novel virus strain.

If he was talking about cold weather in southern red states specifically, then he might indeed be the anti-Christ.

Not to derail the climate change bullshite discussion, but you do realize how weather fronts work in the US, right?

The pressure systems dip down from the arctic and bring a blast of cold air across the country. The cold air Texas and Louisiana gets usually comes 1.5 to 2 days after states farther north receive it. To say that Texas is colder than Cape Cod is just retarded.

Coldest weather here in central OK since 1881. Hasn't been above 0° in 26 hours.

Global warming has always been BS. That's why they changed the keywords to "climate change" when Al Gore's apocalypse of the early 2000s never came to pass, and scientists from around the globe actually began reporting slight decreases in average temperatures.

Just tell a liberal, "Climate change is real. The climate has been changing on earth for 4.3 billion years. Was man responsible for biblical greenhouse gases during the Jurassic period? Was man responsible for the glaciers that melted off of most of North America during the last ice age 12,000 years ago?"

Watch their programmed talking points go on overdrive while their head explodes.

We've been colder than them for a nearly a week, so GFY.

Yes, it's a funny comparison since he's 1,900 miles northeast of me.

And global warming is complete BS. So again, GFY.

You have to get the terms right: It’s called “climate change” when it’s cold; It’s global warming” only if it’s hot. They change the terms to fit the “climate,” to further their agenda.

That is why it has been rebranded "Climate Change". That way any weather outside the narrow "norm" can be considered a problem.

As others noted, and you're spot on, Democrats changed the terminology to "climate change" as it's far more inclusive of any weather changes which might lead to fricking people out of their earned income to support "combatting" shite that happens naturally.

Satan is proud of his Democrat Party.

I stick with "Global Warming" just so I can rub it in their faces.

Surely you know that the jet stream also runs west to east over the US? That means Texas and Louisiana can also experience cold fronts before the east coast does.

But since you are a genius, you clearly know this.
