You seem oblivious as to who Cohen's attorney is. He is a malignant democrat hack. He hates Trump. So do the SDNY prosecutors. So Cohen not only pled, he perjured at the prosecution's request to get a lighter sentence.
Just as was the case when US Attorneys pushed a contractor involved in Senator Stevens 2009 trial to lie. If Stevens had copped a plea as the US Attorneys expected, perjury of the prosecution's star witness would have gone undiscovered.
