There was a OT Thread last year about different names for the shocker...it was one of the all time greatest internet threads in history.

Cuomo held his middle finger back, implying that Kate Bolduan took if off when Cuomo tried to get one of Bolduan's Dunkin' Donuts, after telling John King that Bolduan was on her second box of doughnuts already and wouldn't share. She laughed along with it.

Okay, 4 thoughts:
(1) I didn't know there was a sign for that.
(2) Has CNN dropped all pretense of being a professional news organization?
(3) what does it say about the female anchor, that she knew what it meant?
(4) This reminds me of a joke I heard Gilbert Gottfried tell once. "My wife told me to take her where it smells. So, I drove her to New Jersey."
Helps if you picture Gilbert saying it in that distinctive voice he has.

I doubt she did, considering the topic at the time (eating doughnuts) and the fact that Cuomo did not actually make the "shocker" sign as he "withheld" the wrong finger.

Since you addressed this remark to me, I don't watch the show. After reading the OP, it seemed questionable that Cuomo would do this to Bolduan, so I went to CNN and took a look for myself, and saw that's not what it was at all, so posted the link to save anyone else the effort of looking, or letting them think he actually did it. Much ado about nothing as it turned out.

Even though you're correct about the dunken donuts, he used Kate and the donuts as a reason to get away with flashing the shocker on air...or possibly the reverse shocker, also known as the devastater.
Whether he flashed "one in the pink, two in the stink" or the reverse "two in the pink, one in the stink"...he knew what he was doing.
