They’re a bunch of fricking kids that have no grounding in history or life experience. They’re entirely emotional. Giving them a platform with adults that know this subject matter fluently is awful.

This sheriff is a fricking moron and a coward. Dana was staring him right in the eyes after asking him about the 39 visits and he didn't look her in the eyes once!

Put yourself in his shoes. He represents these people (audience). They have suffered two of the worst mass shoootings in history. They elected him to represent them. These are their concerns and he's obligated to entertain them.
That being said, I thought he navigated a difficult situation very well pointing out the impossibility of a gun ban and calling out the Dems on it.

Yeah Dana gave an example of a female rape survivor that Jake Tapper had previously interviewed who told him she wished she would have had a gun when she was raped. The crowd was screaming f bombs at her and calling various names.

I love Dana, but I think her delivery on that message was not the best given the audience. It seemed a little too blameful. But honestly I'm not sure anyone could have done much better - the audience didn't want to hear it.
