ABC News on Friday evening corrected an explosive special report that aired in the morning saying that Donald Trump, as a candidate for president, had asked Michael Flynn to make contact with Russians. During "World News Tonight," ABC News investigative reporter Brian Ross said the source who had provided the initial information for his story later told him that it was as president-elect, not as a candidate, that Trump asked Flynn to contact the Russians. The initial report, based on one anonymous source, prompted a dramatic reaction in the financial markets, and the Dow fell more than 350 points. Stocks largely recovered later in the day.

I pray no elderly Americans pensions were hurt by ABC’s fake news

The fact that people still think these reporters use actual legit sources is beyond me. Their hate for Trump has completely ruined their journalistic integrity.

The retraction is a bigger story than the Flynn plea

I think the SEC needs to investigate, you can’t just make shite up with massive implications. Did the anonymous source even exist?

Every time they break these "huge stories" they end up killing themselves soon thereafter.
You would think the heads of these departments would crack down on this shite but I guess they're in on it too.
Journalism is dead.

I mean we know they’re not really journalist. They’re nothing more that propagandists. Seriously, they put Pravda to shame. But now it’s obvious that they aren’t even competent propagandists. It’s amateur hour in the media.

Well, today's media business plan is "first, not accurate".
You combine that with their seething hate for everything Trump and this is what you get. The part that cracks me up is that they pull this shite then demand that the public take their word and insist that Trump can't criticism them in any way.

It’s the second day in a row that a major MSM news outlet published fake news. Yesterday Tillerson was supposed to resign.

Even if he did..what does it matter? It happens all the time, and even happened in the last administration:

Michael McFaul, who served as U.S. ambassador to Russia during the Obama administration, said that he was in Moscow meeting with officials in the weeks leading up to Obama’s 2008 election win.
“As a former diplomat and U.S. government official, one needs to be able to have contact with foreigners to do one’s job,” McFaul said. McFaul, a Russia scholar, said he was careful never to signal pending policy changes before Obama took office.

is there anything that protects ABC from being sued for any losses realized during this period before the correction?

That’s a good question, especially considering it was an anonymous source. I mean what if a major news organization published another major lie, or a journalist tweeted, “an anonymous source has told us Apple will miss earnings by 20%”
You could trade on that and make a fortune.

I wish this hadn’t happened on a Friday. Someone earlier posted a vid of Joy Behar’s reaction to the original story on the View. Even Meghan McCain looked puzzled at how much pleasure she got out of it.
If the View was on tomorrow, I’d tune in for 20 seconds just to see if that bitch would eat some crow. I know she wouldn’t on her own but it would be great to see McCain push for it.

The above is the reason Trump gets to righteously do his tweeting yet people want to call him childish by doing it and in the way he does it.
Trump's got this shite figured out. He knows exactly what is going on.
