They intentionally mischaracterized the nature of the lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges politically motivated activity to suppress and silence speech promoting certain ideologies, and how this suppression can ultimately influence electoral outcomes.

CNN framed it as "Nunes suing Twitter because some people harassed him".

Respectfully, I'm not sure if you're being purposefully vague or you're just slapping buzzwords into a phrase to make it seem like your idea is predicated on a meaningful concept, but the net effect is that this is a rather meaningless statement... Sure, the U.S. is usually called a "free market" moreso than many countries (allowing a liberal sense of that term and with an enormous multi-part asterisk). That huge asterisk is where our supposed free market is, in fact, heavily regulated in many areas. And while I'm not an expert in economics or history, I suspect there hasn't been as free of a market as your contrast suggests since the great Golden Age before the deluge when laws were not needed...

... So, while I do appreciate that you acknowledged "sure", I'm right, I have to point out that your attempt to pigeon-hole my being right into a "regulated, fair world" vs a "free market" is too simplistic to be valid since we don't live in the Golden Age and rule of law in the US prevents a totally free market. Therefore-- in context of the actual world we live in-- my comments as to potentially valid reasons to request troll identities is valid and isn't necessarily an unfair tactic. And I'll even repeat my original comment to you: "If the sole basis of the lawsuit is to obtain the info of people who criticize him and to additionally silence them, I would say you have a valid criticism." I just don't think that's all Nunes is after. I think it's part of a larger strategy as I already stated in my previous post.

Don't know the details of your case(s) of getting banned from here or Breitbart, but I'm personally not a big fan of banning. I'm strongly religious/spiritual and I wouldn't even have a problem if people posted pr0n on here. If I didn't like it, I'd stop visiting. I'm generally a fan of the idea of free markets and freedom of speech... even if we don't quite have those things here.

-A publisher like Breitbart, I'm not sure if it should be okay to ban you from making comments even if outright hateful. So, it's not necessarily how it should be, imho.
-Twitter, Youtube/Google... As long as you're clear that your opinion of "that's how it should be" is an unsupported opinion, fine. You're welcome to your opinion. My opinion is that I don't think that's how it should be aside from some very basic human decency issues and overt bullying, though I also think everyone should generally have thicker skin. And, imho, if Twitter can't ban Trump (and we both know they want to) because his channel is now a formal way to communicate with the people, it bodes poorly for them to say they're some sort of private little club that can ban who they want... And that's not getting into Google getting gov't money (not sure about twitter).
