But I’m right.

Partially. But you know as well as I do that barriers would not have saved lives, just the lives on bourbon street.

Or maybe not, he was also armed.

Was. Bourbon the place in the city where the most amount of people were celebrating at the time?

There’s a priority list when planning. As you can imagine, you start with the largest crowd and work your way out knowing as you do you lose levels of protection up until the point there is none outside of normal patrolling.

That’s just the way it is. The goal is never to stop everything every where. Anyone that claims that is a fool.

I guess some lives are worth more than others.

He could have done far more damage at the Dome.

I agree. The driver wanted to mow down people on Bourbon Street, the name most around the country associate with the city. Very symbolic.
Had Bourbon Street been properly barricaded, the guy would have easily found others to run over.

Due to the decades of systemic incompetence, the expectations for leadership are extremely low. In this situation, the barriers wouldn’t have saved lives imo. He just would have turned onto Bourbon from a cross street.

From what I hear, it seems pretty common and expected of NOLA leadership..

Roger has lost his mind after Trump won. I guess he has descended into his true roots now.

Absolutely. As useless as CNO leadership is, you cannot sue a municipality because of the creativity of a an arsehole.

I can promise you that in this case that a traffic engineer signed off on any actions taken by Hard Rock. Just like on any street job a traffic engineer approves any/all traffic control plans.

Hard Rock Construction had nothing to do with the Hard Rock Casino building that collapsed. That was Citadel Construction. They filed for bankruptcy a few days after that collapse.

Any other questions I did not answer?

Not if they don’t have to pay it. Which I find disgusting that they are allowed to get away with that legally. How tf can the constitution protect the government but not the citizens

Probably the same way you can force an experimental shot on citizens, and not have the company distributing the shot liable for lying to the public about the side effects.
