That article was written in 2014 three years before the article in the OP from the same source. The CIA docs were released in 2017.

Your link is correct in that Ike was reluctant and the British were perhaps more involved.

66 years ago, Iran was the frontline against the Soviets. What had to be done was done.

I’ll have you know our spooks, secret police, and three letter agencies have the utmost integrity and do not have a long, well documented history of committing evil deeds and screwing it all up. That’s why we should listen and believe the 18 intelligence agencies that say trump colluded with the Russians.

The US was a minor player in that. The Brits rightfully removed the assbag after he stole the equipment and technology for oil extraction. An agreement was made between the Brits and Iran. Mossydick tried to rip them off.

I always thought that was more of an MI6 job, but that’s not surprising. The democratic government wanted to nationalize the oil companies, and BP wasn’t about to let that happen.

That.

Y’all know Iran used to look a helluva lot like America right. As late as say 1979

The CIA and FBI are disagraces to the United States of America. If only the average citizen knew what these agencies have been up to for a century. Muh institutions!

Iran and the ME was better off for it.

It was the most prosperous time in modern history for them and kept a lid on the Sunni/Shia conflicts in the region.

Mosaddegh was also hated by the clerics in Iran...almost more than the Shah.
