POTUS could , and should, dictate that he simply will not sign any bill that is more than 5 pages long. Then he could reject the bills he doesn't want . No need for a line item veto.
That would entirely do away with the nonsense spending. No more tit for tat, and pretty soon a 2,000 page bill that really no one has read to see that is full of 250 politicians bullshite pet programs that rightly should be nixed.
Military funding should not be in the same bill as entitlement spending, for example.
Of course , this would raise expectations that these assholes would start reading these short 5 page bills before voting. And they don't want that, so they won't ever do it.
But imagine..........

That is a deep thought, but history is littered with rich men (most unattractive) with beautiful women. It seems the male species has found a way to cope with this issue.
Much to the displeasure of the left, the male and female mind is actually wired differently. It is actual evolution that has shaped us, which is science, though no longer accepted by many on the left.
