This headline is on the crawl whilst I’m watching War Room. I have a question.
When did it become legal to handover state secrets/technology to our enemies? If I recall we had Americans executed and incarcerated for this BS 30-40-50 years ago???

Oh it's illegal alright
You sign a paper that says if you disclose information then you can be executed. I know because I did that when I went to Livermore Labs. Hell you lose your clearance for even entering China even if it's a layover to a destination. I know someone who adopted a kid and lost their clearance (so their job) because their layover was in China. Same rules apply to any other adversary.
This is why I don't believe the media when it talks about sensitive information because that shite is on lock. I call it the "Snowden Doc" and everyone signs that.

From an article:
...
I mean this is kinda to be expected when our top university STEM departments are filled with Chinese nationals. Americans just don't do STEM and the Chinese are the best at it. So we have to rely on our biggest enemy to fill the positions with their people. And then we act surprised when they go back to their home country.
quote:
The report says that between 1987 and 2021, at least 162 scientists who worked at Los Alamos returned to China to support a variety of domestic research and development (R&D) programs. Of these 162 scientists, 15 were permanent staff members at Los Alamos, 13 of whom were recruited into the Chinese government talent programs.
...

The report says that at least one of these Chinese-native staff members held a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) "Q Clearance," required to access Top Secret, Restricted Data and National Security Information.

There are some British contractor pieces of shite training their pilots too.
Luckily they aren’t very good.
