China has been about to attack Taiwan for as long as I’ve been alive. I doubt they have the reserves necessary to sustain an operation like that with their largest supplier cut off.

Taiwan is fricking fortress with a MASSIVE air force. They would not have the logistics with us having cut off 2 of their 3 biggest importers to operate anything past landing on the island for long, thats assuming they could even land on it.

If Xi invades and fails he will probably be killed or exiled and the CCP collapse.

You think theyre going to take that chance now man?

I verified the frickin shite before I created this thread. It's amazing how people jump straight to derision and even personal attacks because they don't see a linked report in the OP. frickin pathetic.

POLITICO

quote:

HONG KONG — Taiwan saw a surge of Chinese military planes near the island, its defense ministry said Sunday, after a sharp drop in flights over the past two weeks had sparked discussions among observers.

The ministry detected 26 Chinese military aircraft around the island on Saturday, with 16 of them entering its northern, central and southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone. Seven naval ships were spotted around the island, it reported.

You think closing the straight of Hormuz is bad. Multiply that by 5 and that's the impact on the world invading Taiwan would have.

Why wouldn’t they? Who is going to stop them now?

What happens when planes don't have fuel?
