China is still messing about with bats and viruses, and mosquitoes too.

The Chinese research team created a vaccine based on a weakened version of vesicular somatitis virus (VSV), which can infect both insects and mammals and is already used in an approved Ebola vaccine made by Merck.

They then designed two innovative delivery methods to vaccinate bats against Nipah and rabies - which have fatality rates of up to 75 per cent and nearly 100 per cent, respectively.

China was never interested in research on Caronavirus. They got interested when enough money was stripped from US citizens who earned it, and given to China to get interested.

Fun Fact #1: “Gain of Function” is one of those terms created to confuse people about what is really happening - working to change a virus to make it more virulent or more deadly or both.

Fun Fact #2: the US has a level 3/4 Containment Lab in Ft Dietrich MD where our military does testing on weaponizable agents (bacterium, viruses, spores, prions). China also has a military lab with the same goal; the Chinese lab with that function is in Wuhan. We incentivized our greatest enemy to build a virus that killed 7 million people, and the guy who directed that work is walking his poodle through a Maryland neighborhood and cashing checks.
