Why is this a shock to anyone? The drumbeat for this from the Left will only grow louder.
Just like gay marriage transitioned to transgender rights, the fight to take down confederate statue will grow into a fight to remove all white leaders that had a complex history with race.
I feel that's I'm a pretty practical person and it's clear that this is where this is heading.

From what I've read the replacement cost is much lower. Paper bills aren't indestructible and there's constantly new ones replacing old ones in circulation. With coins there would be less need. I very rarely use cash anymore anyways, I think an all digital currency isn't too far out.

Since they're going after Southerners, it's completely hypocritical and cowardice not to go after founding fathers who owned slaves.
