Chevron said that it has been assigned additional acreage in the Orinoco Belt, where it has an established position. Joint venture plans include investing more than $7 billion over the next five years and increasing production to approximately 600,000 barrels a day compared to 2026.

The agreement is expected to be separate from the Trump administration’s own recent announcement that it would team up with Venezuelan oil company North American Blue Energy Partners and gain access to some 21 percent of the country’s estimated oil deposits.

Chevron may not be the only company to expand operations in Venezuela. Over the weekend, Interim President Delcy Rodríguez said that deals were also in the works with BP, Shell, Repsol and Eni.

Trump should get a lot more credit for venezuela

They were the biggest thorn in our side in the western hemisphere

Now might be biggest asset.

I know for a fact that Venezuelan drillers have ramped up. They don't want drill pipe from China (most of US uses Chinese) but are paying more for US drill pipe.

Well, little pedo joey punished nations that were friendly with Donald Trump simply for spite. He didn't care about what was good for the USA. And he sided with the more socialist/communist countries and financially supported them. Took DT a little time to fix that. Brazil is still on the wrong side of history.

This is a Great Deal and benefits all involved, especially the Venezuelans. The Maduro Regime totally ran their oilfields into the Ground. You send some qualified and quality people down there and they will see a significant increase in their production in no time!

Don't forget about how this also provides a huge supply engine for Paul Singer's Citgo.
