All i can say is that there's been a sudden influx of completely new names on the board.

Frankly. I like having more people on the board.
I hate alters and don't even understand why people find that interesting to do.
And, i hate people who start threads solely designed to get a rise out of people with no actual intent to discuss an idea. That's just completely boring

Debate, actually intelligent debate is the most important thing required for growth and understanding.
Also, once you understand the ideas from "the other side" you can have more meaningful debate/ arguments and learn more and can maybe even change minds.

Agreed, I refused to come back here leading up to the election. For the first time I can remember in a while there are decent policy and economic discussions happening, not just people calling each other retards. Although I know that's a proud tradition here that will never die.

There are plenty Democrats around here. Its true that many of them hide under a mega-douche snarky faux-intelligent persona that never starts a thread but always snipes at Trump or a Trump supporter. They may refuse to admit on the board what they really are. But they are here.

Dem here. Was introduced to this board at LSU. I do like talking with conservatives here considering my Facebook is just an echo chamber. I have a few things in common with many Trump supporters. Pro-gun, hate Hillary, anti-globalism, anti-free trade.
