I guess according to liberals, the wildfires are God's judgement on California since the hurricanes were God's judgment on the south?

This is the only reason this is happening.

When you exclude fire for so long from a system that was fire dependent, it creates a major fire hazard.

There is a reason we don't have massive burns like this in the southeast very often--the pine forests of the southeast are managed with fire.
