California has worst 'quality of life' in US, study says

California ranks dead last among U.S. states in quality of life, according to a study by U.S. News, ranking behind New Jersey (49th) and Indiana (48th).
The ignominious honor reflects California's low marks in the sub-categories of environmental quality and social engagement. The latter category measures voting participation and community bonds.
Californians scored poorly in part because they're simply insufferable, U.S. News suggested.
"In addition to a healthy environment, a person's quality of life is largely a result of their interactions with those around them," the magazine wrote in a blurb accompanying the results.
One way to measure quality life is whether residents can even afford to have a roof over their heads, and by that standard, California is failing.

This is what happens when you tax the living shite out of your residents, allow illegals to run rampant in your streets, and basically tell people "anything goes."
Truly the land of fruits and nuts.

and before some leftist idiot says something about "Fox News" the original source is US News and World Report

How this could be a surprise to anyone is beyond me. It's the leftist utopia that all the shy screamers yearn for.

Beautiful geographic scenes, apparently, but I'm pretty sure that beauty would be ruined by a homeless guy shitting beside me when I try and take pictures of the scenery.

Be interested in what US News defines as "quality of life," because California's overall ranking is 32. Nothing great, but quite a leap from last.
That overall composite ranking is based upon:
Health Care
Education
Economy
Opportunity
Infrastructure
Crime & Corrections
Fiscal Stability
Quality of Life
I'd intuitively think that quality of life was a composite of the other factors, but I guess it's something else. Mississippi, for instance, is #6 in quality of life, but 49 overall.
That's dumb.

I recently had an encounter with a flight attendant who lived in San Fransisco. Very good looking, normal girl. She shared a 2 bedroom commune with 14 other people.

There is something lower than 50th?
Obama's 57 states?
The whiteness of the top 10 states will cause leftists to bitch

Takes a pretty delusional bunch to ignore how bad their state did overall to try and get some points focusing on one section. Dead. Last.
But to be fair Californians are pretty psychotic as well

Louisiana is just fine. Drove through the northern part last week. The weather was good, the folks were friendly. Superficially anyway, the Ruston to West Monrow area seemed pretty nice.
...and yeah, New Orleans is a pit.

Anything goes, except construction of low cost housing.

Weather is good in Cali, people are friendly superficially. Every state has their good and bad.

Still interested in how you separate "quality of life" from healthcare, crime, education, economic opportunity, etc. If Mississippi is 49th with all key social indicators taken together, how the hell are they 6th in quality of life. Is that how many superficial pleasantries you receive walking down the street or whether or not your waitress calls you honey?

This is bullshite. I’ve lived in 6 states for over 3 years in each and NJ has been my favorite.

California is the largest mental hospital in the country!

Yeah our education, opportunity, healthcare, infrastructure and crime is horrific but at least we’re not unhappy!
